On or about August 16, 1981, Antonio Rivera Mena and two associates abducted a 20-year-old female from a street in El Paso, Texas, by threatening her with a knife. They then took the victim to an isolated an area and sexually assaulted her.
On or about October 13, 1984, Mena used a homemade shank to stab a fellow inmate to death at the TDCJ Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Texas.
On or about February 5, 1988, Mena was searched by officials at the TDCJ Ellis Unit in Walker County, Texas, and was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.
On July 7, 2006, Mena was released from TDCJ as a registered sex offender but failed to register with law enforcement, as required by law.

The U.S. Marshals in Louisiana are looking for accused rapist John Stephens. Agents say Stephens is the kind of fugitive that needs to be taken off the streets — and fast. Stephens is wanted by the Ascension Parish (La.) Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Rape, and Aggravated Oral Sexual Battery.Sexual assault is a horrific crime, but Stephens’ victims were both juveniles, which makes his crimes more inconceivable. Police say Stephens’ first victim was 10 years old when he and another male fondled her on several occasions. The victim reported the incidents to the police, and Stephens was charged with Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.
The second case against Stephens stems from accusations that he and another offender took turns repeatedly raping an 8-year-old girl. Police say the attack occurred around March 25, 2000, when Stephens and another offender observed the young girl at her house. Police say they lived in the victim’s neighborhood.
Cops tell us that the victim and the two men were playing a card game and at some point, the girl asked Stephens for some money that he was holding. Stephens allegedly told the girl that he would give it to her, if she would show them her private parts.
Police say the girl refused, and that’s when Stephens and the other offender took the girl behind a boat in the neighborhood and forced her to lay down. Police say they then took turns raping her while the other one watched.
Police say the girl screamed several times during the assault, which got the attention of her brother. Stephens and his partner in crime were worried they were going to get caught, so they let the girl go. Police say the victim went home and told her parents what had happened.
Police say they need to get this guy in custody before he can hurt another child.
Police say Stephens and the other offender were arrested on March 28, 2000, shortly after the incident, but Stephens fled the area before his court date. Police say he hasn’t been seen since December 17, 2002.
Investigators have learned that Stephens has been working construction in Arkansas, Alabama and South Carolina. Police really want this guy in custody. They believe that Stephens may have molested other victims, and they need the public’s help to track him down.

GULF BREEZE, Fla., Sept. 25 — To neighbors here, J. D. Roy Atchison was a deft federal prosecutor, an involved father and a devoted volunteer, coaching girls’ softball and basketball teams year in and year out.
Mr. Atchison, 53, was arrested getting off a plane in Detroit on Sept. 16 and charged with the unthinkable. The authorities there said he was carrying a doll and petroleum jelly, and that he had arranged with an undercover agent to have sex with a 5-year-old girl.
What the authorities saw in the Internet sting operation that led to Mr. Atchison’s arrest was a man who led a second life as “fldaddy04,” the moniker on a Yahoo profile traced to him. “I adore everything about young girls,” the profile says, “how they talk, think, act, walk, look.”
The police in Michigan said Mr. Atchison had been chatting online for two weeks with an undercover detective for the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department, who posed as a mother offering to let men have sex with her young daughter. When she expressed concern that sex could injure the girl, according to court documents, Mr. Atchison responded, “I’m always gentle and loving; not to worry; no damage ever; no rough stuff ever ever.”
He added, “I’ve done it plenty.”

Paul and Myrtis Gauthreaux were found dead in their car Aug. 9 by Gila County Sheriff’s deputies on Highway 60.
Detective Terry Blevins of the Gila County Sheriff’s Depart-ment said, “The couple had been featured on ‘America’s Most Wanted’ and the ‘Bill O’Reilly Show’ the night before this happened,” he said.
“They had been implicated in a child pornography investigation,” he said.
“Apparently, the deceased female’s mother called her daughter on the eighth, the day after they were featured on the two television shows and asked if the allegations were true,” Blevins said.
Both suspects denied any involvement in child pornography.

Sexual Predators Get Worse, Not Better
Light sentences and plea bargains keep sexual predators on the streets. Liberal Judges, District Attorneys more interested in conviction percentages than in actual punishment for sexual crimes, and other liberals who believe sex predators can be rehabilitated are responsible for most sex crimes.
Bold statement? How many times do we have to see a story on the news where a child was sexually abused and murdered and the predator who did the crime had committed prior sexual crimes to understand the statement I made above?

Such is the bizarre array of paraphenalia police found during their investigation of Michael John Kaye - items that led to criminal charges.
Yesterday, Kaye pleaded guilty in Halifax provincial court to one count of possessing child pornography (the photo) and two counts of possession of stolen property (the panties and ID cards). He was sentenced to six months in jail, followed by two years probation.
Wow. That’ll teach him. 6 whole months and 2 years probation. This guy will be back in the news or if he is not, then he will be the exception, not the rule. It has been proven that with each sexual crime, the predators get smarter and bolder. And their crimes get worse. Eventually, many go on to kill their victims so there won’t be witnesses next time.
Before his sentence was handed down, Kaye addressed the court: “I will go. I will go away and I will serve the Lord, and I will do four months in the Burnside Correctional Facility. And I will hold my head up high and be proud.”
Proud? Proud of only having to do 4 months in jail most likely.
Kaye first came under suspicion in February, after police interviewed two runaway girls. It was their story that led officers to search Kaye’s apartment and there police made some strange discoveries concerning the 25-year-old Lower Sackville man.
Crown attorney Craig Botterill said the story started when Kaye picked up two girls hitchhiking. He offered to drive them to Yarmouth, but enroute he turned around, saying he was tired.
Kaye offered them a place to stay, the court was told. It was at his apartment that the man had consensual sex with one of the girls. The next day he left the apartment, telling the teens he would be back to drive them to Yarmouth.
The girls took a look around his home. On a digital camera, they found a picture of one of the girls’ nipples. Botteril said the girl did not know the photo had been taken.
The teens were runaways. About a week after the incident, they told police. Officers searched Kaye’s apartment and found “some things that were disturbing,” including paramedic, RCMP and city police uniforms, Botteril said.
There was also 28 pairs of panties, along with blank school identity cards.
This tells me 2 things. 28 pairs of panties means this is not his first time, just his first time getting caught. The uniforms indicate he has thought out further crimes even if he has not acted on them.
Am I jumping to conclusions? Maybe a little, but giving sexual predators the benefit of the doubt has given them the opportunity to commit more sex crimes and harm more victims. I don’t see the harm in being overly suspicious as I do in being overly protective of the sexual predator’s rights.
Kaye had faced a rash of other charges, including sexual assault. Yesterday, the Crown offered no evidence on the remaining counts, including the charge of sexual assault, and they were dismissed.
Defence lawyer Jean Morris noted that Kaye has no criminal record and has support in the community, from family and from his church minister.
Well that’s reassuring. I’m sure we have nothing to worry about now.
